Youth Summer Meal Distribution
Baltimore County is partnering with Baltimore County Public Library (BCPL) and the Maryland Food Bank to provide additional summer meals for youth at seven BCPL locations around the County.
The Maryland Food Bank has set up sites outside of designated BCPL branches and is offering meal kits to youth 18 years of age and younger. Kits will include four to six breakfasts and lunches and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Baltimore County, with support from multiple agencies and regional partners, is offering limited food distribution for families on Saturdays. Food is available on Saturdays starting at 10 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

While students are encouraged to be present when picking up meals, accommodations will be made for students who are unable to be present. Students receive a breakfast and lunch on Monday through Wednesday. On Thursday, students receive two breakfasts and two lunches for Thursday and Friday. Meals are not being distributed on Fridays. Please note that time slots differ by location. |

Food For Seniors
The Baltimore County Department of Aging (BCDA)
Providing boxes of food to the County’s older adults. The program is supported by $590,000 in funding provided through the federal Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) to specifically target individuals age 60 and older.
Under this new program, each box of non-perishable food will include three meals and a snack for six days, and will be accompanied by a small box of fruits and vegetables. Boxes will be distributed by appointment only at designated senior center locations around the County, listed below. Quantities are limited. We will continue to assess demand and adjust the amount of food and locations accordingly.
Baltimore County residents over 60 years of age should call 410-887-2040 to schedule their pickup date, time and location. Only individuals with appointments will receive one box of non-perishable food and one box of produce per household. During the appointment, individuals will be asked to show proof of age through their BCDA Senior Center Membership Card or other identification.
Anyone unable to travel to pickup locations should contact Maryland Access Point (MAP) at 410-887-2594 to discuss other food options with the MAP staff.
You must schedule an appointment to pick up food. Call 410-887-2040 (the week before pickup) on Mondays and Wednesdays, between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

This program provides nutritious meals and companionship at over 35 senior centers, community buildings and senior residences. View Eating Together locations and days. Please note: During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Eating Together program at senior centers is canceled. Please see Grab-and-Go Meal below for information on the Eating Together program operating in senior housing buildings.

The menus, planned as the main meal of the day, are made up of a variety of foods to provide at least one-third of the recommended daily nutritional needs. Menu calendars for regular meals (PDF) and kosher meals (PDF) are available each month. Seasonal favorites are included and special menus are offered for holidays. Reservations are required. Please reserve your meal by 10:15 a.m. on the dates listed on the menu calendar.
Meals are prepared and delivered by commercial caterers. Kosher meals are offered at several sites. No salt is added to the food and detailed nutrition information is available to assist those on special diets. A registered dietitian regularly offers free nutrition education and counseling at various sites.
Baltimore County residents aged 60 and over and their spouses of any age are eligible to participate in this program and are asked to make a voluntary, anonymous donation. Younger persons may also participate, but are required to pay the full cost of the meal.
